Know more about this publication
For the last twenty five years, I have been visiting Peru and saw the impact one person can have on a community of all age-groups and socio-economic backgrounds. My uncle, now 97 years old, keeps his sharp mind and extraordinary memory in shape by contributing to numerous publications that he edits, working daily up to this day.
Every person who knows Padre Pedro speaks of a person with endless kindness, availability, offering a non-judgemental support. This priest fully lives his commitment to others, in communities searching for kindness and attention, where his impact remains strong after more than sixty years of dedication to the people of Peru.
Any person who met Pierre De Guchteneere will be pleased to discover that this book of testimonies represents some of his work in Peru. He left Belgium at 36 years of age to adventure to a new continent, little known by most and where the living conditions were quite different from Europe.
Along the way, Padre Pedro, as he is called in Peru, met numerous people of all ages and walks of life looking for spiritual support. He has been available to others; people now visit him at home in Lima as he no longer travels. Everyone who has met him will recognize the man through the testimonies of his book.
